About IIIT Kalyani
IIIT Kalyani is committed to becoming a Center of Excellence in IT education and research, preparing students to meet the industry’s evolving demands with innovation and expertise. The institute actively fosters an entrepreneurial ecosystem, driving new technological solutions and intellectual property development within the State.
Established through a Not-for-Profit Public-Private Partnership (N-PPP), IIIT Kalyani is funded by the Government of India (Ministry of Education), the Government of West Bengal, and industry partners in a 50:35:15 ratio. The West Bengal government has also contributed 50 acres of land for its permanent campus. Current industry partners include Coal India Ltd. and the Rolta Foundation.

It is my pleasure to be associated with the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani as its Director. Before taking up this assignment, I have been a Professor in the Dept. of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and also Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of the institute.
